Travelling all the way from Gettysburg, Pa., Ulysses S. Grant will be speaking in Murrysville again on Wednesday, February 9 at 6:30 p.m. about the Surrender of Robert E. Lee in 1865. General Grant will discuss some of the finer details of the meeting which led Robert E. Lee to surrender his army, ending the fighting in Virginia during the Civil War. Ken Serfass is a professional living historian portraying Ulysses S. Grant and travels extensively to share history with communities throughout the region. The Recreation Department has hosted him previously for other events and is fortunate to have him return.
