Parks
Murrysville is fortunate to have 15 parks, nature reserves, historic sites and sports fields, many of which have pavilions and sports fields available for rent.

Westmoreland Heritage Trail
Ride or walk through history along the Westmoreland Heritage Trail! Approximately 9 miles of the Westmoreland Heritage Trail are completed and open from Saltsburg to Delmont. An additional 9.2 miles from Lincoln Avenue in Export to B-Y Park in Trafford are open and ready to use. The Westmoreland Heritage Trail chapter’s long term goal is acquire and construct a twenty-two mile hiking and bicycling trail from Saltsburg to Trafford.

Splash Pad & Playground at MCP
The Splash Pad and Playground at Murrysville Community Park offers 15 water features that shoot and spray water on guests. The Playground offers two play structures for ages 2 to 5 and 5 to 12. There is a small pavilion in between the Splash Pad and Playground that guests can enjoy while at the park but cannot be reserved. There are restrooms that have 2 bathrooms, 1 changing room and water fountains.

Field and Court Reservations
Fields and courts are for use by permit only and can be requested by creating an account and completing an online request. Once the request is received, fees will be established and provided to the applicant. Once payment is received, permits will be issued.

Pleasant Valley Park Mountain Bike Night Riding
Pleasant Valley Park offers a wide variety of mountain bike trails ranging from easy to challenging. Permits to ride in the park until 11:00 p.m. are available through the Recreation Department by completing a Night Riding Application.

Park Volunteer Organizations
Our 13 parks and reserves are maintained by a force of dedicated volunteers who work daily to keep our properties pristine. Many of these organizations are listed here, with links directly to their websites. Take time to visit and learn about their organizations and please consider helping to preserve our parkland while you enjoy a stroll through the parks!

Community Center and Senior Center
The Murrysville Senior Citizens' Center is located at 3091 Carson Avenue in the rear of the Community Center.Daily drop-in programs are available as well as many monthly programs and activities. Friendly volunteers are available Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm and new members are welcome. 724-327-7673

Veterans' Memorials
Several of Murrysville's parks boast Veterans memorials including Veterans' Field on Sardis Road and Murrysville Community Park on Wiestertown Road, which offers a Veterans' and Emergency Services monument, honoring those who have served and are still serving our country and community.
